AI Engineer (Neuro-Symbolic & Core Safety)
RevAIsor Ltd has recently secured Innovate UK funding for SENTINEL Phase 2, a groundbreaking R&D project dedicated to maturing a Sovereign UK capability for securing AI autonomy by design. We are building the foundational safety architecture that will harden autonomous systems against adversarial threats using deterministic evaluation and neuro-symbolic boundaries.
Company: RevAIsor Ltd
Project: SENTINEL Phase 2 (Innovate UK Funded)
Location: Hybrid (Strictly UK-based)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Fully UK PAYE Compliant)
Compensation: competitive
The Role
We are looking for two (2) highly skilled AI Engineers to join our technical core team. You will be responsible for building the neuro-symbolic engine and core safety pipelines that form the backbone of the SENTINEL architecture. This is a hands-on, highly technical role requiring deep expertise in AI model development, localized vector processing, and system safety hardening.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize the neuro-symbolic engine and localized vector processing pipelines.
- Safety Hardening: Develop and implement AI safety shields to ensure autonomous systems remain within strict, deterministic mathematical boundaries.
- Independent Research & Review: Conduct independent research into AI vulnerabilities and perform rigorous independent code reviews.
- Collaboration: Participate in weekly 1-hour technical synchronization calls and collaborate directly with the Security Engineering team.
- Milestone Execution: Deliver robust code and technical documentation in line with strict Innovate UK project milestones.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in AI/ML engineering, deep learning, and neural networks.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with vector databases and localized processing architectures.
- An understanding of adversarial AI, model robustness, or AI safety mechanisms is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for independent reviews and cross-team collaboration.
Strict Grant Compliance & Terms of Employment
Due to the sovereign nature of this Innovate UK grant, this role is subject to strict public funding compliance criteria:
- UK Residency: You must be legally resident and working exclusively within the UK. International or offshore work is strictly prohibited.
